Matadors Big West favorites

It’s going to be hard for some of the Matadors to not get a big head after this one.
The Cal State Northridge men’s basketball team was selected to finish on top of the Big West Conference in the 2008-09 season by Lindy’s College Basketball Magazine. UC Santa Barbara was picked behind the Matadors, followed by Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton.

Matadors lose heartbreaker on the road

The Matadors had UW-Milwaukee on its heels, reeling back, making its goalkeeper tired of intervening time after time. Then, the Panthers scored a goal and, despite maybe even deserving the win, CSUN’s once three-game winning streak had turned into a two-game losing one.

Women’s soccer team perfect season snapped

Men’s soccer try to keep winning streak alive in Wisconsin

The Matadors will take their three-game winning streak to the East coast this weekend to face Wisconsin and UW-Milwaukee in their third and final tournament of the 2008 regular season, the 35th Annual Panther Invitational.

All CSUN teams on the road this weekend

The men’s soccer team will be in Wisconsin for a tournament. The women’s soccer team will be in Moraga also for a tournament. The women’s volleyball team will be in Arizona for an Invitational. All three teams are posting excellent records so far, hopefully it stays that way by the end of the weekend.
