UPDATE 08/02: CSUN phone lines were restored last night, according to an email sent out by the IT Help Center.
“Although root cause analysis will continue with our vendors during the next several days, initial analysis points to software incompatibilities within the hardware and software infrastructure layers in the upgraded campus phone environment.”
Several of CSUN’s phone lines have been down since yesterday after the campus’ phone system underwent an upgrade during the weekend.
The IT Help Center recommended students contact staff and departments through email until the phone system is restored. According to an email sent out by the IT Help Center, it could take “multiple days” to return to the old environment. Emergency service phone lines, as well as the emergency phones located in each department’s office have not been affected.
