A Casino & Movie Night will be held in the Game Room this Friday evening.
Charlie Small, University Student Union commercial services and games assistant said this is the first time the USU has hosted this themed night.
There will be a blackjack and Texas hold ‘em poker tournament. The students in first place of each card game will win a trophy.
“This time, we won’t give cash or gift cards because it’s technically gambling,” Small said.
The Casino & Movie Night will also feature “Ocean’s Eleven” and will have free pizza and snacks.
“It’s nice and fun to take a break from school and studying,” said Stephanie Alfaro, a junior cinema and television arts major. “I’m looking forward to play some cards, win, eat, and watch a movie.”
The event is free and it is from 8 to 10 p.m. Students can sign up for the tournament that night at the Games Room.
