‘Tis the season to DIY!

Christmas is just around the corner and to ease off some of the holiday madness, save yourself some bucks by making these festive DIY’s.

Candy Cane Reindeer

These cute reindeer made out of candy canes can serve many decorative purposes and are quick and easy to make. They can be a great addition to a present, be hung as ornaments on your Christmas tree or nicely placed  in a cup as a centerpiece.

What you need

Candy canes

Small googly eyes

Pipe cleaner

Craft pom-poms

Glue gun

Steps

  1. Loop and twist a pipe cleaner around the curve of the candy cane to make the antlers.
  2. Carefully wrap the pipe cleaner antlers around one of your fingers to make them curly.
  3. Place a pom-pom at the tip of the hook of the candy cane. Glue it down with the glue gun to make the nose.
  4. Place googly eyes slightly above the nose and glue down.

Homemade Snow Globe

We may not be able to make it snow in L.A., but we definitely can by making our own snowglobes! Get creative and use small items around your home to custom make a snow globe, especially made for you or a friend.

What you need

Jar with a lid

Water

Miniature figurines of your choice

Glitter

Crazy glue or hot glue

Steps

  1. Glue the figurines of your choice to the center of the lid.
  2. Add the amount of glitter you want to use inside the jar.
  3. Fill the jar with water leaving enough space for water not to overflow when the figurines are placed.
  4. Line the edge of the lid with glue and place onto the jar and let dry.
  5. Turn the jar upside down and shake it!
