Starting Monday, the campus will begin Inclusive Language awareness week. The Inclusive Language Campaign aims to encourage people to consider the impact of their words on others–whether intentionally hurtful or not. The week will begin with an event where students can talk about hurtful words they don’t like hearing. Students can share and post the words at Plaza Del Sol, USU. The campaign will host a series of events everyday until Thursday, March 19. For more information click, here.
9 p.m. – Tuesday, March 17
Grab your plaid kilts and leprechaun clan, because Tuesday is St. Patricks Day. Celebrate your St. Patty’s Day grubbing and drinking at McG’s Irish Pub & Grill in Chatsworth. The restaurant will have a St. Patty’s Day special menu and discounted beers. The pub will be open until 2 a.m. Make sure you wear green to avoid getting pinched. 7 p.m. – Wednesday, March 18
Ditch the green clothes–throw on your red t-shirt, show some school spirit and cheer-on the men’s volleyball team vs. USC at the Matadome. The first 50 students wearing Red Rally shirts will get a free beverage drink. Come hungry, because all fans wearing red clothes will get $1 hotdogs. Lets kick some Trojan booty.

Think you’re funny? Prove it, at the free stand-up comedy open mic night at the Games Room, USU. The event is hosted by David Dorward, CSUN cinema television and arts major. Laugh away a hard week of studying with peers. Beginners and experienced comedians are welcome to the event. For more information click, here.

Alright CSUN, now we have an excuse to eat delicious pizza for a good cause. Project D.A.T.E., a peer education group that spreads awareness about rape prevention, is hosting a fundraising event at PizzaRev on Reseda Boulevard Customize your tasty own pizza and twenty percent of the purchases will support the group. Join Deaf CSUNians, a group that spreads awareness about the Deaf culture, for their annual Spring Banquet at the Odyssey Restaurant in Granada Hills. The theme is Alice in Wonderland. Sounds fun, right? Grab your Mad Hatter suit and beautiful blue Alice dress because this even it strictly formal. The $55 ticket will include a food entrée, music and entertainment.
