People shared personal stories of their deceased loved ones at Noche de Ofrendas, which was hosted by Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán (M.E.Ch.A.) last night at the Chicanx House.
The highlight of the event involved placing offerings at the many altars honoring family members that have passed.
Audience members also watched a performance that told a story about a man that had a near death experience. He saw images of his deceased parents who told him to respect the dead and change his ways.
This story communicated that eventually everyone dies and that disrespecting deceased loved ones is the worst thing that can be done.
