As the Sun sets today, the Jewish Community will begin fast in observance of Yom Kippur, which translates to “Day of Atonement”, is considered to be the holiest day of the Jewish year.

According to Chabad.org, the purpose of Yom Kippur is for Jewish people to be cleansed of sin by ‘afflicting their souls’, or refraining from applying lotions, wearing leather shoes, washing or bathing, having marital relations and eating or drinking for a full day.

The CSUN men’s soccer team conceded late to draw with the Highlanders of UC Riverside in their Big West opener, and drew 1-1 at Matador Soccer Field.

There was back-and-forth action from both sides as the Matadors (2-3-4, 0-0-1).

In the building across from the Student Recreation

In the building across from the Student Recreation Center (SRC), the Games Room can be found. There are a variety of games available for students to enjoy, and many seats and couches for them to sit and relax.

On Oct. 3, the Game Room hosted a “Rocket League” singles tournament, where anybody could sign up and participate.

Students for Justice in Palestine at CSUN held “The People’s Trial” event today from 1:30 p.m. to 2:40 p.m. at Matador Square. Members of SJP gave speeches during the event and students were given white roses to place on the Matador Statue, honoring those who have been killed.

CSUN women’s soccer took on the University of Ha

CSUN women’s soccer took on the University of Hawaii Thursday night in what was CSUN’s third Big West match of the year. It was a dead tie until late when the Rainbow Wahine struck late crushing the Matadors spirit.
