Trystan Vierra is a sophmore at Csun and a concert music major who plays not only the guitar but the electric bass, Ukulele and Trumpet as well. Born and raised in Turlock, Calif., Vierra began playing guitar in middle school. After seeing that his school offered a guitar class Vierra was quick to join, however shortly after joining he was informed he had joined a concert band and would need to learn another instrument. After thinking it through carefully Vierra chose the Saxophone only to be told that the Saxophones had all already been claimed leaving Vierra with the Trumpet.
After Vierra was introduced to the Trumpet, music quickly filled his schedule. He is currently part of the Wind Orchestra at Cal State Northridge. Unlike many young musicians Vierra’s dreams and ambitions don’t land him on the main stage in front of thousands of screaming fans, but in knowing that he helped someone else make it there.
“My ultimate goal is to help as many people as I can,” said Vierra. “I can look back and know that I was able to help someone and make a difference for some of those big names that make it out there”
