The CSUN Police Department is investigating another on-campus rape, which occurred over the weekend.
This is the third student-reported rape in less than one month.
The incident occurred at the University Park Apartments as “rape under false pretenses” at around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, according to the crime log archive.
According to the archive, the suspect allegedly entered the victim’s dorm room “under the guise of a friend and engaged in sexual activities.”
Upon learning that the suspect was not the victim’s friend, sexual activity ended and the suspect left the location, according to the crime log archive.
The victim reported the incident less than 24 hours after the alleged rape occurred, according to the crime log archive.
Officers are aware of who the suspect is and the investigation is ongoing, according to the crime log archive.
