With all but one senate seat filled and a constitutional amendment passed, CSUN students chose their peer representatives in elections held on campus and online Wednesday and Thursday.
CSUN students elected Amanda Flavin and Sydni Powell to serve as their Associate Students president and vice president for the 2011-12 academic year.
Current senators Flavin and Powell ran on the platform Strength in Diversity. Among their main goals for office are the creation of a transfer student center, the restructuring of student government to increase efficiency and focused targeting of interested students to increase campus-wide participation in events.
The only seat not filled by this week’s elections was that of senator for the College of Education, a seat that consistently remains empty.
The complete list of winners can be found in A.S. election results.
