Photo booth, a galactic casino, and glitter tattoos? It can’t get any better than that.
The highly anticipated event of the semester is finally here. Matador Nights has arrived with yet another creative theme: the galaxy.
This year, students will be stunned with many different things, such as a graviton, a ferris wheel, tarot reader, and a caricature.
Matador Nights has been around for many years. It is known for their free food, super fun games and rides, and making sure you have a good time. Since it’s a popular event, current CSUN students are mostly excited about Matador Nights. Of course there was no surprise. Students were well prepared for Fridays night festivities to begin.
When asked what are you expecting from this years Matador Nights, Sophomore Andres Mendoza was expecting nothing but the best for event.
“I am expecting food, good music and for it to be turnt!” said Mendoza. “They have done a really good job this past year. I would tell them to keep it up.”
Matador Nights does a great job with making sure they always bring a different theme every year. This gives the students an opportunity to get creative and involved with campus events.
Last year was a Las Vegas theme and organizers had a Scrambler and casino rides, slot machines and even a wedding Chapel. The year before that was a New York theme. The many themes allow students to get involved and dress accordingly to fit their surrounding.
Human resources graduate, Brittany Aden says she is looking forward to the galaxy theme but will always favor the Hawaiian theme last Spring.
“I think it would be beyond awesome to check out this galaxy theme,” said Aden. “But I’m not nervous that AS can’t pull this off. They always do a great job putting on events for the students.”
Not only will the USU be filled with tons of students, there will also be great music with special guests, DJ Wax and Reid Stefan. Also, while complementary food and beverages will be available, there will also be a personal photographer to take photos of all of your friends and dates.
Freshman Amanda Chevinsky has been ready for this night for the past two weeks! As she plans on being there early before Matador Nights reaches capacity.
“I am so excited to go! This is my first year attending CSUN so I know I’ll have a good time there,” Checvinsky said. “Ive heard about Matador Nights in the past and so many people say its worth it. So I already picked up my ticket!”
Matador Nights is put on by students who believe that we should have a great time while attending college. Every year, Matador Nights is packed and full of fun with laughter and memories you will never forget! Work hard, play hard.
“I am rolling deep with all of my girls! I am so ready to dance my butt off and get away from keeping my head in my books all weekend,” said Brittany.
Matador Nights is a free event to all CSUN students with current CSUN student ID’s. Tickets are still available for pickup at the front desk of the USU Sol Center and the A.S Ticket Office. No guests are permitted and the ticket does not guarantee admission. So please arrive early.
Also, as safety plays a huge part on campus, the CSUN police officers will be present at the scene checking items at the metal detectors.
The event will be help this Friday, Set. 4th from 9pm-1am.
